Dahlia in a mix of colours is one of the most rewarding summer and autumn flowers – blooming abundantly from June through November. The pack contains 3 tubers, which will grow into elegant plants reaching approximately 80–120 cm.

Vitenplant dahlias stand out with striking blooms in a variety of colours and are ideal for ornamental beds as well as cut flowers and for drying. They thrive in full sun in humus-rich, well-draining soil with regular watering directed to the roots. For even bushier growth, we recommend pinching out the tip at a height of 20–30 cm and removing spent flowers continuously. Use

Plant after the risk of frost has passed (late April to mid-May). Plant to a depth of about 10–20 cm, so that the crown sits roughly 5–7 cm below the surface, with spacing around 50 cm (more for more vigorous plants). Sprouting usually takes 7–14 days. Choose a sunny spot, ideally sheltered from the wind. After the first frosts, cut stems back to 5–10 cm, lift the tubers and store them.

Storage

Store tubers in a dry, dark place at 5–15 °C. After lifting, allow them to dry, clean them, and ideally store them in a crate with sand or peat to prevent mould and drying out.
