The beginnings of brewing beer in Cvikov date back to 1560. In the production of beer, the Cvikov brewery exclusively uses Czech ingredients – malt from Českomoravské malt houses Zábřeh, hops of the Žatec semi-early red and Premiant varieties, and brewing yeast from the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting.

Lužinská beers are unfiltered and unpasteurized, free of all preservatives, colorants, and any additives. All bottled beers are filled and labeled by hand with a great deal of loving care and to the tunes of hard rock music.
