How to Grill: Choosing the Right Meat

Do you feel like heading to the garden to fire up the grill and enjoy great food in the fresh air? Check out
our guide to selecting meat and prepare a perfect feast.

Origin Matters

The taste of meat is not only influenced by the chosen marinade. The foundation is mainly the meat itself. And there is a huge difference between large-scale farms and small farmers who carefully nurture the meat. Have you tried our brand MASO!, which offers carefully selected pieces from ethical farms by proven Czech farmers? The animals have plenty of living space, a preserved natural daily cycle without artificial lighting, and high-quality local feed. The meat is matured and excellently crafted. Simply put, meat as it should be!

Chilled or frozen?

Definitely fresh, that is, chilled! Frozen can be used as a last resort, but be careful with quick
defrosting in the microwave. If there's no other choice, defrost the meat at least slowly, ideally
overnight. However, avoid frozen fish, as they lose a lot of water when thawed and the meat
wouldn't be very good from the grill.

By type of meat

Do you love lean meat without a trace of fat? You'll struggle with that on the grill. To enjoy great taste and juicy bites, you need to choose meat that's at least a little marbled with fat. Before you heat up the grill, don't forget to marinate the meat well in advance. Not only will it be tastier, but it will also become beautifully tender. Check out how to do it.
