After more than a quarter of a century in the distilling industry, Jan and Růženka Kleiner decided to focus on a completely different method of fruit processing than long-term fermentation followed by distillation. For 10 years, they supplied various types of almond liqueurs to Hustopeče as subcontractors. During this period, they developed the feeling that they should try to create their own product, but at a higher quality level – a purely natural almond liqueur without synthetic ingredients. Since no such purely natural product existed on our market at that time, the Kleiner couple had to embark on a journey of discovery, during which they were significantly inspired by Mediterranean ratafia with more than a thousand-year tradition of production. The great theater of Mother Nature, which surprises us daily with its diversity, offers us endless possibilities to use its gifts simply and purely without synthetic or other preservative additives. Sour cherry with a touch of almond 18%The original area of occurrence of the common sour cherry was in southeastern Europe, western Asia, and northern India. Through cultivation, it spread all over the world. It grows in a temperate climate zone. Almond sour cherry is an excellent aperitif on its own. In combination with Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic, you can easily prepare a refreshing low-alcohol drink. Or try the liqueur in combination with your favorite cheeses or fruit desserts, such as apricot cake or crème brûlée. Taste: fresh juice from picked sour cherries with a light hint of almond. Aroma: very pleasant from freshly picked sour cherries.
