INGREDIENTS FOR THE DOUGH

  • 500 g plain flour
  • 300 ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 42 g fresh yeast
  • 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Oil for frying

  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • Ketchup
  • 250 g cheddar
  • 200 g sour cream
  • A handful of fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

    Mix sugar and crumbled yeast in lukewarm milk. Let it work for 5 minutes. In a larger bowl, mix flour with salt and add the yeast mixture. Knead a compact dough by hand. Cover with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 30 - 45 minutes.

    Chop the basil and mix it with sour cream. Stir in olive oil and add salt. Crush the garlic cloves and mix with a few tablespoons of water. Grate the cheese finely.

    Once the dough has risen, knead it again and divide it into 6 equal parts. Form smaller flatbreads and let them rise for another 10 minutes.

    Heat a thicker layer of oil in a pan. Stretch the flatbreads to the sides and fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.

    Serve the langos brushed with garlic, ketchup, and sprinkled with cheese. The second option is with garlic, herb sour cream, and cheese.
