INGREDIENTS
- 2 large oranges
- 2 tablespoons of golden syrup or granulated sugar
- 650 g of sour cream (preferably with a higher fat content)
- 60 g of powdered sugar
- 20 g of vanilla sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Place whole oranges in a cup and pour boiling water over them 3 times in succession to remove impurities and enhance their aroma.
- 2Bring the finely grated zest and juice of both oranges and the golden syrup or sugar to a boil, and let it reduce slightly over low heat while stirring constantly. Remove from the stove. Stir in the remaining ingredients into the syrup, pour the mixture into a sealable container, and let it cool overnight in the refrigerator.
- 3The next day, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker. Follow the instructions for the ice cream maker. Transfer the churned ice cream into a sealable container and place it in the freezer.
- 4You can also make the ice cream without an ice cream maker. Place the prepared chilled mixture in the freezer. Every 30 minutes, whisk it well until it freezes sufficiently.
