INGREDIENTS
- 125 g butter
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 500 g plain flour
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- 2 large eggs
- 150 g brown cane sugar
- 375 ml milk
- 50 g white chocolate (preferably chocolate chips)
- 50 g milk chocolate (preferably chocolate chips)
- 50 g dark chocolate (preferably chocolate chips)
- 50 g walnuts
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1All ingredients must be at room temperature.
- 2Melt the butter, let it cool slightly, and stir in a tablespoon of honey. Sift the flour together with cocoa and baking powder, and mix in the salt. Chop the walnuts into smaller pieces, as well as the chocolate if you don't have chocolate chips.
- 3Beat the eggs with sugar for 5 minutes until a lighter thick foam forms. While constantly beating, pour the melted cooled butter with honey into the foam in a thin stream. Add all the dry ingredients and milk and mix briefly just to combine everything into a dense batter.
- 4Fill the muffin molds to the brim with the batter, I used cups with a diameter of 5 cm. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in an oven preheated to 170°C with a fan.
