INGREDIENTS
- 250 g butter (room temperature)
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 250 g whole grain spelt flour
- 150 g plum jam
- 1 egg (beaten)
YOU WILL ALSO NEED
- Parchment paper
ALTERNATIVE TO PLUM JAM
- Marmalade
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Cut the butter into cubes in a larger bowl. Add low-fat quark and spelt flour, and work everything into a smooth dough. For easier preparation, use a mixer with a larger chopper.
- 2Place the resulting dough in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 170 °C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 3Transfer the chilled dough from the refrigerator to the work surface and roll it out into a sheet about 2 mm thick. Cut the sheet into squares (4 cm × 4 cm) and add a spoonful of plum jam to each square. Join the opposite corners of each square and wrap them to form a pastry.
- 4Spread all the pastries on the prepared baking sheet, brush them with beaten egg, and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes at 170–180 °C.
- 5Let the baked pastries cool for a while and then serve.
Tip
Instead of plum jam, you can use marmalade.
