INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

INSTRUCTIONS

    In a large pan, heat the oil and fry all the meat over medium heat.

    Dice the onion and bell pepper into cubes about 1 cm in size and add both to the pan with the fried meat. Add the crushed garlic and sauté together for about 3 minutes until the vegetables soften.

    Add ketchup, sugar, chili powder, mustard, and pour in 100 ml of water. Stir and let it simmer under a lid for approximately 15 minutes.

    After 15 minutes, add tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Taste and season with salt and pepper if necessary.

    Cut the buns in half and toast the insides in a pan, either dry or with a little butter or oil. Fill the buns with the prepared meat mixture. If desired, you can spread grated or sliced cheddar over the hot meat mixture. Enjoy your meal.
