INGREDIENTS

  • 4 young artichokes
  • 2 tablespoons of creamy balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 large cloves of garlic
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary
  • 2 sprigs of thyme
  • 2 sprigs of oregano
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

    First, clean the artichokes. Cut off the woody stem, then cut off 1/3 of the artichoke tip and peel the leaves until yellow leaves remain. Cut the artichoke in half lengthwise and scrape out the 'choke' from the center.

    Boil in salted water for 20 minutes.

    In the meantime, prepare the glaze. Mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar, crushed garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper.

    Drain the artichokes and place them in a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Rub the prepared mixture into the artichokes and bake at 170 degrees for 30 minutes.

    Serve the artichokes as an appetizer or as a side dish to meat.
