INGREDIENTS

  • 200 g plain flour
  • 20 g cornstarch
  • A pinch of salt
  • 180 g natural tofu
  • 2 spring onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cm fresh ginger
  • A handful of fresh coriander
  • 1 tablespoon oil

INGREDIENTS FOR THE DRESSING

  • 50 ml soy sauce
  • Sweet chili sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

    For the dough, mix plain flour with cornstarch and salt. Carefully add 120-130 ml of hot water and mix. Knead the dough thoroughly, wrap it in cling film, and let it rest for 30 minutes.

    For the filling, crumble the tofu into small pieces with your hands. Finely chop the onion and spring onion. Press the garlic. Peel and finely chop the ginger. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and fry the prepared ingredients. Once they start to turn golden, add soy sauce. Mix and remove from heat. Stir finely chopped coriander into the cooled mixture.

    Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1-2 mm. Lightly dust the dough with cornstarch while rolling. Cut out circles with a diameter of 8 cm. Place the filling on each circle and close it into the traditional dumpling shape.

    Pour enough water into a pot with a steamer, and once it starts boiling, place the dumplings on the steamer, cover with a lid, and steam on medium heat for 8 minutes.

    Serve the dumplings with a dressing made by mixing the listed ingredients.
