INGREDIENTS
- 500 g ground beef
- 500 g ground pork
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 egg
- 50 g breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Oil
- Sliced cheese to taste (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried cumin

INSTRUCTIONS
- 1In a large bowl, mix ground beef and pork. Add chopped onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- 2Mix thoroughly with your hands. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a little water or oil.
- 3Shape the meat into patties approximately 2 cm thick. If desired, you can add a slice of cheese to each pljeskavica and wrap it inside.
- 4Heat a grill or pan to medium temperature. If grilling, brush it with oil.
- 5Grill or fry the pljeskavica on both sides for about 4-5 minutes until well cooked inside. You can also bake them in a preheated oven at 200 °C for 15-20 minutes.
- 6Serve the finished pljeskavica with ajvar.
