Ingredients

  • 2 small yellow onions
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 handful of fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
  • 30 g of butter
  • 500 g of potato gnocchi
  • 220 g of canned chopped tomatoes
  • 150 ml of vegetable broth
  • 250 g of mozzarella

Instructions

    Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Tear the basil into large pieces.

    Take a pan and heat sunflower oil and butter over medium heat. Then add the gnocchi to the pan and fry them, stirring constantly, for 7–8 minutes over medium heat.

    Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pan and sauté everything together for 3–4 minutes over medium heat.

    Add the canned chopped tomatoes, vegetable broth, salt, and pepper to the pan and cook everything over medium heat for 7–8 minutes until the mixture thickens.

    Turn off the heat and add the torn basil to the pan.

    Divide the mixture from the pan into 4 servings, tear mozzarella on top of each, and serve.
