INGREDIENTS
- 250 g yellow onion
- 80 g chicken ham (min. 95% meat)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 100 g Greek yogurt (0% fat)
- 200 g whole grain spelt flour (+ 20 g for flouring the work surface)
- 130 ml water
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- Salt
- Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Peel the onions and slice them thinly. Cut the ham into thin strips. Then, in a large pan over medium heat, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil, add the sliced onions, ham, and thyme, reduce the heat to low, and sauté the mixture slowly for 9–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 2Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180–185 °C and prepare a baking sheet (30 cm × 40 cm) lined with baking paper. Then, in a large bowl, combine 30 g of Greek yogurt, 200 g of spelt flour, 130 ml of water, baking powder, salt, and pepper, and work into a firm, elastic dough that does not stick.
- 3Once the mixture in the pan is done, turn off the heat. Then, flour your work surface with 20 g of spelt flour, turn out the prepared dough onto the floured surface, and roll it out to a thickness of 1 cm using a rolling pin. Transfer the dough to the lined baking sheet. Spread the remaining 70 g of yogurt and the sautéed mixture from the pan over the dough. Place the prepared tart in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes at 180–185 °C.
- 4After baking, remove the tart from the oven, cut it into 4 portions, and serve.
Tip
You can press 2 cloves of garlic into the yogurt before spreading it on the dough and add finely chopped fresh thyme.
