INGREDIENTS
- 230 g fine curd
- 60 g semi-coarse flour
- 50 g oats
- 1 egg
- 6-8 pcs apricots (depending on their size)
- A pinch of salt
INGREDIENTS FOR SERVING
- Curd for grating or lumpy curd
- Butter
- Powdered sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Prepare the dough from fine curd, egg, flour, oats, and salt. Mix the ingredients in a bowl or on a board, cover, and let rest for 15 minutes.
- 2Wash the apricots, cut them in half, and remove the pit.
- 3Divide the dough into 6 or 8 equal parts. Make a flat cake from each part and wrap it around an apricot. Press the dough seams firmly to prevent them from opening during cooking. While shaping the dumplings, you can lightly sprinkle the board and your hands with flour to prevent sticking.
- 4Pour water into a wide pot so that it is at least 10 cm from the bottom. Bring to a boil. Once the water starts boiling, reduce the heat to half, add the dumplings, and cook for 7-10 minutes. Once cooked, carefully remove them from the water and let them drain.
- 5Serve sprinkled with curd, powdered sugar to taste, and drizzled with melted butter.
