  • 200 g of white basmati rice in dry state
  • 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

    Pour the rice into a sieve and rinse it 4–5 times under running water until the water running from the sieve is almost clear. Then take a medium-sized pot, heat 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat, add the rinsed rice, and stir to coat the rice in the oil. Next, salt the rice, pour in 300 ml of water, and bring the contents of the pot to a boil over high heat. Then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let the rice simmer for 18–20 minutes.

    After the specified time, remove the pot from the heat and let the rice rest under the lid for 5–10 minutes.

    Fluff the finished rice with a fork and serve.
