INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Preheat the oven to 180 °C and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2In a large bowl, cream the butter with both sugars until smooth and fluffy. This takes about 3-5 minutes.
- 3Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- 4Then mix in the vanilla extract or dried vanilla pod.
- 5In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- 6Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture until the dough comes together.
- 7Finally, fold in the chocolate chips.
- 8Form the dough into walnut-sized balls and place them on the baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 9Leave enough space between them as they will spread during baking.
- 10Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden but the center is still slightly soft.
- 11Let them cool on the sheet for a while to firm up, then transfer them to a wire rack. Sprinkle with freeze-dried strawberries.
