INGREDIENTS

  • 500 g ground turkey meat
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 80 g corn breadcrumbs
  • 80 g carrot (peeled and finely grated)
  • 80 g yellow onion (finely chopped)
  • 700 g raw potatoes type A (peeled)
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives (optional)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 150 ml water

INSTRUCTIONS

    Preheat the oven to 190–195 °C and prepare a baking dish (30 cm × 40 cm).

    In a large bowl, place the meat, egg, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, tomato paste, and corn breadcrumbs. Add the carrot and onion and mix everything thoroughly into a firm mixture that holds its shape. Then shape it into an oval approximately 25 cm long and 10 cm high and place it in the prepared baking dish.

    Cut the potatoes into small cubes (approximately 1.5 cm × 1.5 cm) and arrange them around the meatloaf in the baking dish. Pour water over everything, place in the oven, and bake for 50–55 minutes at 190–195 °C.

    Finally, remove the baking dish from the oven, divide the dish into individual portions, and serve with chives.
