INGREDIENTS FOR HOT DOG
- 4 hot dog buns
- 4 quality sausages (meat or vegan)
- 1 jalapeño
- 3 stalks of spring onion
- Fresh cilantro
- Fried onion
- 100 g pâté
INGREDIENTS FOR SAUCE
- 200 g mayonnaise (homemade or store-bought)
- 4 tablespoons sriracha
INGREDIENTS FOR SALAD
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce (omit for vegan)
- 3 carrots
- 1 ½ cucumbers
- 5 radishes
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Mix mayonnaise with sriracha and set aside.
- 2Cut the vegetables into thin julienne slices – carrot, cucumber (remove the soft center), and radishes – there's a great tip below. In a bowl, mix the vegetables with salt, vinegar, sugar, and a drop of fish sauce (omit for the vegan version). Let it sit for a while to blend the flavors.
- 3Heat the grill and toast the hot dog buns on it, while also grilling the sausages until nicely browned.
- 4Spread pâté (vegans omit) and prepared mayonnaise on each bun. Place the grilled sausage on one side and add the vegetable salad on the other side. Sprinkle with chopped jalapeño pepper, fresh cilantro, spring onion, peanuts, fried onion, and finally drizzle with mayonnaise again.
