Kumala Chardonnay

A dry wine of clear colour with deep yellow to buttery undertones, featuring a highly aromatic bouquet dominated by ripe melon and pears, complemented by delicate notes of vanilla oak. On the palate, the wine offers a gentle green-apple acidity combined with an explosion of pineapple. A delicate, creamy wine with very well-balanced acidity.

About the winery

The surroundings of the legendary Table Mountain in South Africa are a place of rich fertility and natural beauty. The South African winemaking team works hard to produce very high-quality wines in every vintage. The winery’s chief oenologist is the likeable Bruce Jack, who says wine has a simple task – to bring joy to life. After studying in Scotland and Australia, he settled in South Africa, where he pursues his passion: growing grapes and making wine. In his own way he is a pioneer and an individualist, and his wines are becoming ever more popular. The natural environment in which the vines grow plays a significant role in the style and quality of the finished wine. That is why great attention is paid to soil analysis, the suitability of growing specific varieties on particular vineyard sites, studies of climate parameters, vine-training methods, and ensuring all activities are aligned with the environment.
