About the winery
More than 200 years ago, the ancestors of the Schmitt family settled in the small village of Longuich, located along the Moselle River, and began cultivating vineyards and making wine. Now in its 5th generation, Schmitt Söhne is one of the largest and most successful German wine exporters worldwide. While they continually develop and look for ways to incorporate new technologies and techniques, they never lose sight of the traditional approach to producing exceptional German wines.
