INGREDIENTS
- 2-3 red onions
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 150 ml of sour cream (definitely buy one that does not list starch in the ingredients)
- 1 egg yolk
- salt
- dried marjoram
- 1 ready-made store-bought shortcrust pastry dough
Instructions
- 1Simply transfer the dough, rolled out into a circle shape and about 4 mm thick, onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, keeping the fan off.
- 2Mix the sour cream with the egg yolks, a pinch of salt, and a bit of crumbled marjoram. Spread it on the dough, leaving a small edge free. Then fold the edges up slightly and only partially. If you create a decorative pattern, the prize will likely be yours.
- 3Peel the onions and cut them into thin half-moons. In a bowl, mix them with oil and a pinch of salt, trying to separate the individual layers of the onion. Then spread this beauty over the seasoned sour cream. Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the edges are golden and the onions as well.
- 4Let it cool for a while, cut into pieces, and serve warm.
Tip
Instead of shortcrust pastry, you can also use ready-made pizza dough. However, bake it very quickly, ideally between 220-240 degrees. Remove the finished tart from the oven no later than 20 minutes, but possibly earlier - judge by the color of the edges.
