INGREDIENTS

  • 300 g pre-cooked red lentils
  • 2 teaspoons dried marjoram
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 100 g carrot (peeled and coarsely grated)
  • 70 g yellow onion (coarsely chopped)
  • 200 g whole grain spelt flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 eggs size M

  • Sour cream dip
  • Boiled or baked potatoes

INSTRUCTIONS

    First, preheat the oven to 180–185 °C, prepare a baking sheet and line it with baking paper.

    Cook the red lentils according to the instructions on the package. Then drain and cool them under cold water.

    Now prepare a larger bowl, place the cooked lentils in it, add marjoram, oil, salt, pepper, garlic, carrot, eggs, and onion, and blend everything with a hand blender until smooth. Once the mixture is blended, add flour and mix everything with a wooden spoon.

    Shape the finished dough into patties, place them on the prepared baking sheet, and bake for 20–25 minutes at 180–185 °C.

    Serve after baking.

You can serve the patties on their own, for example with a sour cream dip, or as a main course with boiled or baked potatoes.
