INSTRUCTIONS FOR SKEWERS
- 1First, heat the grill thoroughly.
- 2Then prepare the marinade. In a large bowl, mix together the zest and juice of 1 lemon, curry powder, soy sauce, and pepper.
- 3Wash the chicken breasts, pat them dry, and cut them lengthwise into long strips. Each breast will yield about 3–4 strips of meat, each 1 cm wide.
- 4Place the chicken strips into the bowl with the marinade, mix well, and let marinate at room temperature for at least 15 minutes.
- 5Thread the marinated strips of meat onto skewers about 25 cm long in an accordion shape. Thread 2 strips of meat onto each skewer, making about 6–7 skewers. Once all the meat is prepared, place the skewers on the grill and grill quickly for 2–3 minutes on each side.
- 6Then move the skewers to a cooler part of the grill, cover the grill, and let them grill for another 3–4 minutes.
- 7Finally, transfer the finished skewers to a plate and serve.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAUCE
- 1First, prepare a tall mixing container and an immersion blender. Place the peanut butter, peeled garlic clove, soy sauce, water, and salt into the mixing container. Remove the stem and tip from the chili pepper, then cut it lengthwise and remove the seeds and ribs. Add the prepared chili pepper halves to the other ingredients and blend everything with the immersion blender into a smooth sauce. You can serve the blended sauce immediately or store it in a sealed container in the refrigerator, where it will last for 6–7 days.
