INGREDIENTS
- 100 g butter
- 80 g brown sugar
- 10 g vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs
- 200 g coarse flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 150 ml carbonated apple lemonade
- 2 large apples
- pinch of salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Grease a 23 cm diameter cake pan with butter and dust with coarse flour.
- 2Sift the flour together with the baking powder. Separate the egg yolks from the whites, and beat the whites with salt until stiff peaks form. Cream the butter with brown and vanilla sugar until fluffy, add the yolks and beat until a lighter dense foam forms. Stir in the flour and lemonade, and finally, gently fold in the egg white foam. Spread the batter evenly in the pan and smooth the surface.
- 3Peel the apples, cut them into quarters, and remove the cores. Slice each quarter lengthwise into slices so that they do not completely fall apart, just slightly open. Place the apples on the surface of the pie and gently sprinkle with brown sugar.
- 4Bake for 45 minutes in an oven preheated to 170°C with a fan. Check if the cake is baked using a skewer. After baking, let it cool in the pan. Before serving, dust with powdered sugar.
