INGREDIENTS
- 3 slices of tomato
- Handful of lamb's lettuce leaves
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper
- 250 g minced turkey or chicken meat
- 5 slices of cucumber
- 1 slice of Cheddar cheese
- 3 tablespoons of ketchup
- 1 hamburger bun
- 1 boiled egg
- 1 black olive
- 2 skewers
- Salt
- Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Slice the bun lengthwise and lightly toast it in a dry pan until golden.
- 2Mix the minced meat with salt and pepper and divide it into two portions. Form each portion into a ball, then flatten it slightly by pressing down. Make a small indentation in the center of both resulting burgers. Place the meat in a pan with a drop of hot olive oil and cook each side for approximately 5 - 6 minutes.
- 3Cut out teeth from the cheese slice – the slice will remain whole, just gradually cut out consecutive triangles on one side to create spooky teeth on a large part of the slice.
- 4Slice the bell pepper and halve the olive.
- 5Now we can start assembling the Monster burger. Spread a tablespoon of ketchup on the bottom half of the bun. Place a handful of lamb's lettuce leaves on the ketchup, then add tomato slices and a few pieces of sliced bell pepper. Layer another tablespoon of ketchup on the bell pepper. Place the first of the two prepared patties on the ketchup layer. On the patty, add more yellow bell pepper, and then slices of cucumber. Place the second prepared patty on the cucumber, and on top of that, place the cut-out cheese slice. Carefully pour the remaining tablespoon of ketchup over the cheese and cover with the toasted top bun.
- 6Halve the boiled egg and remove the yolks. Place half a black olive into each egg half instead of the yolks. Skewer the egg onto a wooden skewer so that the skewer also pierces the olive, ensuring the olive doesn't fall out of the egg. Then, stick these prepared spooky burger eyes into the top bun from above. This will create the eyes of this spooky Monster burger.
TIP
- 1If you want the burger to be even spookier, you can apply a little more ketchup under and inside the halved olives.
