INGREDIENTS
- 3 slices of tomato
- A handful of lamb's lettuce leaves
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper
- 250 g ground turkey or chicken meat
- 5 slices of cucumber
- 1 slice of Cheddar cheese
- 3 tablespoons of ketchup
- 1 hamburger bun
- 1 boiled egg
- 1 black olive
- 2 skewers
- Salt
- Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Slice the bun lengthwise and lightly toast it on a dry pan until golden brown.
- 2Mix the ground meat with salt and pepper and divide it into two parts. Shape each part into a ball and then gently flatten it. Make a small indentation in the center of each burger. Place the meat on a pan with a drop of heated olive oil and fry each side for approximately 5 - 6 minutes.
- 3Cut teeth out of the cheese slice - keep the slice whole, but gradually cut out connecting triangles on one side so that scary teeth gradually form on the large part of the slice.
- 4Slice the bell pepper and halve the olive.
- 5Now we can start assembling the Monster Burger. Spread a tablespoon of ketchup on the bottom part of the bun. Place a handful of lamb's lettuce leaves on the ketchup and add tomato slices and a few pieces of sliced bell pepper. Layer another tablespoon of ketchup on the bell pepper. Place the first of the two prepared patties on the ketchup layer. Add yellow bell pepper again on the patty and then cucumber slices on the bell pepper. Place the second prepared patty on the cucumbers and put the cut cheese slice on top. Carefully pour the remaining tablespoon of ketchup on the cheese and cover with the top toasted bun.
- 6Halve the boiled egg and remove the yolks. Place half a black olive in each egg half instead of the yolks. Skewer the egg so that the skewer pierces the olive as well, ensuring the olive doesn't fall out of the egg. Insert these prepared spooky eyes of the burger from above into the top bun. This creates the eyes of this spooky Monster Burger.
TIP
- 1If you want the burger to be a bit spookier, you can add a little more ketchup under and inside the halved olives.
