INGREDIENTS
- Approx. 700 g of wine sausage
- 350 ml of dark beer
- 3 medium-sized red onions
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
- 3 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- 2 teaspoons of dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon of chili flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- Salt
- White pepper

INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius - top and bottom heat. Peel the onion and garlic. Slice the onion into half rings and the garlic into slices. Heat a pan and sauté the onion in oil until translucent. Then add the garlic and let it turn golden. Pour in the beer, add ginger, cinnamon, chili, and dried thyme. Finally, add whole sprigs of rosemary and let it simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
- 2Meanwhile, coil the wine sausage into small spirals and pierce with a toothpick. Arrange the sausage in a baking dish and pour over the dark beer mixture.
- 3Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes. Remove the rosemary stems from the sauce. Serve the sausage with fresh bread, dipping it into the beer sauce.
