First, prepare the sauce. Pour the passata into a small saucepan, press in the garlic clove, add oregano and salt to taste. Mix everything and bring to a boil. Cook the sauce, stirring occasionally, for 15 – 20 minutes until thickened. Then let it cool down.

Roll out the puff pastry into a long strip, about 2 mm thick. Then place it so that the longer side is facing you. Spread the sauce over the entire surface, leaving the top edge about 2 cm unsauced. Where the dough is sauced, arrange the ham and roll up the dough from the bottom.

Line a baking sheet with baking paper and preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Chef's tip

From the remaining puff pastry, you can cut out fun shapes (e.g., stars), brush them with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and then bake them in the preheated oven at 180 °C until golden brown.
