INGREDIENTS
- 200 g green bean pods
- 100 g whole bacon
- 2 large shallots
- 5 large cloves of garlic
- 50 g almond slices
- A few sprigs of thyme
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- Salt
- Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Peel the shallots and garlic. Slice the shallots into half-moons, 4 cloves of garlic into slices, and crush 1 clove in a garlic press. Rinse the beans and trim the unsightly ends. Heat oil with butter in a pan and sauté the shallots until golden. Add the garlic slices and let them turn golden. Set aside.
- 2Cut the bacon into cubes and fry until crispy. Return the shallots and garlic to the pan and add the beans. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3Mix in the honey combined with white wine vinegar, chopped herbs, and 1 clove of crushed garlic. Sauté together for about 5-7 minutes. The beans should remain crunchy inside.
- 4Meanwhile, dry roast the almond slices. Once the beans are ready, mix them with the almonds and serve.
