INGREDIENTS

  • 500 g pork belly
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Spring onion for garnish
  • Jasmine rice

INSTRUCTIONS

    Over medium heat, melt sugar with a drop of water in a pan until it starts to caramelize. Then add the diced meat, fish sauce, salt, and pepper to the sugar. Mix well and let marinate for 30 minutes.

    Sauté the meat for about 8 minutes until it darkens. Pour in enough water to cover the meat and cook for about 1 hour until almost all the water has evaporated.

    Serve with jasmine rice.
