INGREDIENTS
- 500 g pork belly
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- A pinch of pepper
- Spring onion for garnish
- Jasmine rice
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Heat sugar with a drop of water in a pan over medium heat until it starts to caramelize. Then add the diced meat, fish sauce, salt, and pepper to the sugar. Mix and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 2Sauté the meat for about 8 minutes until it darkens. Add enough water to cover the meat and cook for about 1 hour until almost all the water evaporates.
- 3Serve with jasmine rice.
