INGREDIENTS
- 140 g smooth spelt flour
- 85 g chopped oat flakes
- 35 g ground almonds
- 105 g butter
- 140 g brown sugar
STRAWBERRY FILLING INGREDIENTS
- 600 g strawberries, sliced thicker
- 50 g granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla sugar
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 5 fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon vanilla pudding powder
APPLE MIX INGREDIENTS
- 2 Granny Smith (or other sour variety) apples, diced
- 1 cinnamon sugar
- Juice of half a lemon
BAKING INGREDIENTS
- Butter for greasing dishes
- A handful of whole almonds (blanched or with skin)
CREAM FOR SERVING INGREDIENTS
- 2 tubs of full-fat sour cream
- 2 vanilla sugars
- Powdered sugar to taste
- Fresh strawberries
CRUMBLE INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Mix all the ingredients with your fingers until they reach a crumble consistency.
STRAWBERRY FILLING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Mix the strawberries with both sugars and lemon juice, and cook for a few minutes until the strawberries release their juice and soften slightly (we don't want them to completely break down).
- 2Take about a third of the mixture and blend it with basil leaves and pudding powder using an immersion blender. Return it to the rest of the mixture.
APPLE MIX INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
BAKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Preheat the oven to 180˚C with top and bottom heat. Grease the baking dishes with butter.
- 2Spread the apple mixture on the bottom, then the strawberry mixture, and sprinkle with crumble. Place a few almonds on top.
- 3Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes.
Tip
The crumble is excellent with ice cream or a refreshing cream.
Prepare the cream by mixing sour cream with vanilla and powdered sugar, into which you mix crushed strawberries.
