INGREDIENTS FOR THE DOUGH
- 330 g whole wheat flour
- 1 packet of dried yeast
- 30 g olive oil
- 7 g salt
INGREDIENTS FOR THE TOMATO SAUCE
- 1 can of peeled tomatoes
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 handful of basil leaves

INGREDIENTS FOR PIZZA TOPPING
- 200 g turkey ham
- 2 pieces of mozzarella
- Aged cheese (e.g., Grana Padano)
- Black olives
- Arugula

INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Sift the flour into a bowl, add the other ingredients and 260 ml of lukewarm water. Mix into a smooth dough. It will take 5 minutes in a mixer, a little longer by hand. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size.
- 2In the meantime, prepare the tomato sauce. Place the peeled tomatoes in a saucepan and add the chopped garlic. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and stir regularly. After a few minutes, the sauce will start to thicken. Once the sauce is thick enough, remove it from the heat.
- 3Turn the oven to the highest setting it allows, usually 250 °C, select top and bottom heat, and place a baking sheet or pizza stone inside.
- 4Sprinkle the work surface with flour, turn out the risen dough onto it, and divide it into 3 equal parts. Form each into a ball. Place each in the center of a piece of baking paper and shape the pizza with your hands. Press the dough from the center towards the edge. Spread the shaped pizza with tomato sauce, top with mozzarella and ham. Transfer the pizza with the baking paper onto the heated baking sheet, immediately place it in the oven, and bake for 10-12 minutes. Watch closely for the last 2 minutes.
- 5Serve with arugula, black olives, and slices of aged cheese.
Tip
Don't hesitate to involve children in cooking and let them decorate the pizza according to their taste. For example, they can create a face on the pizza using olives.
