INGREDIENTS FOR TUNA STEAK

  • 4x tuna steak 200 g
  • 100 ml Kikkoman soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 50 g black sesame
  • 1 lemon

INGREDIENTS FOR SALAD

  • 125 g Mesclun salad mix
  • Radish sprouts
  • 100 g peeled pomegranate
  • A handful of fresh coriander
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt
  • Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

    In a small pot, mix soy sauce, sugar, ginger, and crushed garlic. Let it reduce on low heat for a while and set aside. Rinse the tuna steak, dip it in the prepared marinade from all sides, and coat it in sesame seeds. Let it rest in the fridge for at least half an hour.

    Meanwhile, prepare the salad dressing. In a bowl, mix olive oil, honey, water, and rice vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    The tuna steak can be prepared on a pan or grill. Sear the tuna quickly on each side for 1.5 - 2 minutes. It should remain pink inside. Mix the salad greens with the dressing, radish sprouts, and pomegranate seeds. Serve with the tuna, sliced, sprinkled with fresh coriander, and drizzled with lemon juice.
