INGREDIENTS

  • 1 part unpeeled (natural) nuts, ideally hazelnuts or almonds
  • 1 part sunflower seeds
  • ½ part pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple, agave, or chicory syrup
  • 1 part shredded coconut
  • 2 parts oats
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

  • Fresh fruit
  • Plain yogurt

  • Dark chocolate
  • Freeze-dried fruit
  • Roasted coconut flakes

YOU WILL ALSO NEED

  • Parchment paper
  • Canning jar

    1 part = full cup with a volume of 100 ml

INSTRUCTIONS

    Measure all dry ingredients for the granola except for the coconut using a cup and mix in a bowl. Add coconut oil, mix thoroughly. Finally, stir in honey or syrup.

    Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer and place in an oven preheated to 150 degrees Celsius. Stir after ten minutes and bake for another 5-10 minutes.

    When the granola smells nice and darkens, stir in the shredded coconut for the last 3 minutes. Do not bake it longer, it would burn.

    Remove from the oven and let cool. Transfer to a jar where the granola will last for 14 days, up to a month.

    Serve with plain yogurt, fruit, chocolate, and anything you like.
Tip
You can mix chopped dark chocolate, freeze-dried fruit, or roasted coconut flakes into the cooled granola.
