INGREDIENTS

  • 6 wheat tortillas
  • 200 g cheddar
  • 250 ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 30 g butter
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour
  • Olive oil
  • 2 pinches of sweet ground paprika
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 2 pinches of black pepper
  • Jalapeño peppers (to taste)
  • Nutmeg

INSTRUCTIONS

    Cut bats or other Halloween shapes from the tortillas. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with oil, salt, and sprinkle with ground paprika. Bake at 180 degrees for about 15 - 20 minutes until golden.

    Meanwhile, melt the butter in a pan, mix with flour to make a roux. Add milk and stir to make a béchamel sauce. Salt and add nutmeg. Finally, stir in the grated cheese and jalapeño peppers to taste.

    Serve the crispy chips with warm cheddar dip.
