INGREDIENTS
- 300 g plain wheat flour
- 50 g Dutch cocoa
- 190 g white granulated sugar
- 20 g gingerbread baking powder
- 1 egg
- 120 ml canola oil
- 50 ml milk
- 200 ml kefir
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS
- 1First, preheat the oven to 180 °C and line a baking tray (20 cm × 30 cm) with baking paper.
- 2Sift plain flour, Dutch cocoa, sugar, and gingerbread baking powder into a large bowl. Mix with a whisk.
- 3Crack 1 egg into a tall container and mix it with 120 ml of canola oil, 50 ml of milk, 200 ml of kefir, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix.
- 4Combine the contents of both bowls into a smooth batter. Pour the prepared batter onto the tray and bake in the preheated oven for 28–32 minutes at 170–180 °C.
- 5After baking, let the gingerbread cool on the tray for at least 30 minutes, then cut and serve.
TIP
- 1Before serving, pour chocolate glaze over the gingerbread and spread with jam.
