INGREDIENTS

  • 500 g of ground beef
  • 150 ml of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of gingerbread spice
  • 200 g of raw broccoli (broken into florets)
  • 1 large red pepper (about 250 g)
  • 1 large white onion
  • 2 stalks of spring onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of canola oil
  • 15 g of cornstarch
  • 50 ml of water
  • 2 tablespoons of hulled white sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 lime
  • Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

    First, mix the ground beef with 20 ml of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of gingerbread spice.

    Then wash and chop all the vegetables: Cut the broccoli florets into smaller pieces, the pepper into slices, the onion into thin half-moons, the spring onion into pieces about 2 cm long, and press the garlic.

    In a large pan, heat 3 tablespoons of canola oil and fry the meat seasoned with gingerbread spice and salt on high heat for about 5–8 minutes. After frying, remove the meat from the pan and set aside.

    Mix the remaining 130 ml of soy sauce in a cup with 15 g of cornstarch and 50 ml of water.

    Then add the chopped vegetables to the pan and fry on medium to high heat for 3–4 minutes. Add the fried meat and the soy sauce mixed with water and starch to the vegetables and fry for another 2–3 minutes.

    Finally, sprinkle the contents of the pan with sesame seeds and season with chili flakes and lime juice.

    Divide the finished beef with vegetables onto individual plates and serve.
