INGREDIENTS

  • 100 ml Garden Gourmet vEGGie egg alternative
  • 150 g dark (vegan) chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 90 g pecans
  • 90 g flour
  • 115 g vegetable margarine
  • 80 g canned cherries

INSTRUCTIONS

    Melt the chocolate and margarine in a water bath. Mix the sugar with vanilla sugar and add to the chocolate mixture. Stir in Garden Gourmet vEGGie. Then add the flour and a pinch of salt and mix until you get a smooth consistency.

    Lightly coat the cherries in flour and add them along with the nuts to the batter.

    Pour the brownie batter into a baking dish and bake for about 50 minutes at 160°C.

    Once cooled, cut into squares, sprinkle with the remaining pecans, and serve.
Tip
1. If you coat the cherries in flour, the fruit will distribute better in the batter and not sink to the bottom, preventing it from burning. This also applies to raisins and other dried fruits. 2. Pecans can easily be replaced with other types of nuts. Walnuts and pistachios taste particularly good. If you don't like nuts, you can omit them entirely.
