INGREDIENTS

  • 2 small chicken breasts (2× 150 g)
  • 100 g slices of pork ham
  • 100 g slices of Emmental cheese
  • 60 g white all-purpose wheat flour
  • 3 medium-sized eggs
  • 80 g breadcrumbs
  • 300 ml sunflower oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

    Wash and pat dry both chicken breasts. Then, using a meat mallet, pound each one into a slice about 0.5 cm thick, and season both slices with salt and pepper.

    Place slices of ham first, then slices of Emmental cheese, onto each piece of meat. Then, roll each piece of meat into a small roulade.

    Prepare 3 deep plates for breading. Put all-purpose flour into the first plate, crack eggs into the second plate and whisk them with a fork, and pour breadcrumbs into the third plate.

    Coat each prepared roulade first in flour, then in the egg mixture, then in breadcrumbs, and then once more in the egg mixture and in breadcrumbs.

    Prepare a larger pot and heat 300 ml of sunflower oil over high heat (this will take about 6 minutes). Then reduce the heat to medium, place the breaded roulades into the hot oil, and slowly fry them for approximately 8–9 minutes until golden brown.

    Transfer the fried roulades to a paper towel for 1–2 minutes to absorb excess oil, then serve immediately.
