INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH

  • 300 g white wheat plain flour
  • 150 ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 30 g butter (room temperature)
  • 80 g white granulated sugar
  • 42 g fresh yeast
  • Salt

  • 250 g Nutella
  • 250 g cream cheese

INGREDIENTS FOR BRUSHING

  • 1 egg size M
  • 1 tablespoon water

INSTRUCTIONS

    Preheat your oven to 175 °C and prepare a baking dish (approximately 30 cm x 25 cm) lined with baking paper.

    In a larger bowl, mix plain flour with 150 ml of milk, butter, sugar, yeast, and a pinch of salt, and knead the resulting mixture into a smooth dough. Kneading will take approximately 5-10 minutes (if using a kitchen mixer, set it to medium speed).

    Dust your work surface with a little flour, then place the prepared dough on the surface and roll it out with a rolling pin to a sheet approximately 30 cm × 40 cm in size.

    In a smaller bowl, mix Nutella with cream cheese and spread the resulting mixture over the dough, leaving 1–2 cm along the edge of one of the longer sides unspread. Then roll the dough from the spread side to the unspread side and cut the rolled dough into 12 equally sized pieces, which you will arrange in the baking dish.

    In a cup, beat 1 egg with 1 tablespoon of water and brush the prepared snails with the resulting mixture.

    Place the baking dish in the oven and bake the snails for 30–32 minutes at 170–175 °C.

    After baking, remove the snails from the oven and serve.
Tip
Before serving, drizzle the snails with honey.
