INGREDIENTS
- 80 g of whole grain couscous in dry state
- 1 medium red bell pepper (approx. 250 g)
- 1 small yellow onion (approx. 50 g)
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons of canola or sunflower oil
- ½ teaspoon of ground chili (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of ground sweet paprika
- 200 ml of water
- Salt
- Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1In a small pot or kettle, bring 200 ml of water to a boil.
- 2Pour the couscous into a small bowl, mix with a pinch of salt, and pour over the hot boiling water. Cover the bowl (for example, with a plate) and let the couscous swell.
- 3Meanwhile, wash and slice the bell pepper into strips, peel the onion and slice it into thin rings, and peel and crush the garlic. Then take a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat, then add the sliced bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the pan and sauté everything for 4-5 minutes over medium heat.
- 4After the time has elapsed, add the swollen couscous, ground chili, ground sweet paprika, salt, and pepper to the pan and sauté everything for another 4-5 minutes over medium heat.
- 5After sautéing, remove the pan from the heat, divide the finished mixture into 2 bowls, and serve.
