INGREDIENTS
- 2 eggs size M
- 1 medium celeriac
- 1 small apple of any kind
- 200 g cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Juice of ½ large lemon
- Salt
- Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1First, take a saucepan, put both eggs in it, cover them with a sufficient amount of water, and bring the water to a boil over high heat. Then reduce the heat to medium and cook the eggs for 8 – 10 minutes until hard-boiled.
- 2Meanwhile, clean the celery, peel it, and grate it finely. Wash the apple and grate it coarsely with the peel on. Once the eggs are cooked, cool them, peel them, and grate them coarsely.
- 3Then take a medium-sized bowl, add the grated celery, apple, eggs, cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice, and mix everything together. Season the resulting spread with salt and pepper and serve.
- 4Store the spread in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 3 – 4 days.
Tip
We recommend serving the spread with sourdough bread or any whole grain pastry. Before serving, you can garnish it with finely chopped chives and freshly ground pepper.
