INGREDIENTS

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 500 g ground pork
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • Oil
  • Sliced cheese to taste (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried caraway

  • Ajvar
  • Potatoes

INSTRUCTIONS

    In a large bowl, mix the ground beef and pork. Add the chopped onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, ground paprika, caraway, salt, and pepper.

    Mix thoroughly with your hands. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a little water or oil.

    Form patties about 2 cm thick from the meat. If desired, you can add a slice of cheese to each Pljeskavica and wrap it inside.

    Heat a grill or pan to medium heat. If grilling, brush it with oil.

    Grill or fry the Pljeskavica on both sides for about 4-5 minutes, until well cooked through. You can also bake them in a preheated oven at 200 °C for 15-20 minutes.

    Serve the finished Pljeskavica with Ajvar.
