Ingredients
- 220 g plain wheat flour
- 100 g butter
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 8 g vanilla sugar
- 50 g cooking chocolate
Instructions
- 1Prepare a large bowl, add 220 g of plain flour, butter, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla sugar, and work everything into a smooth, compact dough (similar to shortbread cookies). Wrap the finished dough in cling film, place it in the refrigerator, and let it rest for at least 2 hours.
- 2After resting, remove the dough from the refrigerator, preheat the oven to 180 °C, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 3Flour your work surface with 20 g of flour and, on the floured surface, roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of approximately 3–4 mm.
- 4Cut the rolled dough into rectangles with a knife or pastry wheel, or cut out any desired shapes. Arrange the dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet, place it in the oven, and bake for 9–11 minutes at 175–180 °C.
- 5Remove the baked biscuits from the oven and let them cool for approximately 15 minutes.
- 6Meanwhile, melt the chocolate: Take a medium-sized bowl, break the chocolate into it (or cut it into smaller pieces), place it in the microwave, and heat for 1–1.5 minutes at 750 W. Every 20–30 seconds, pause and stir the chocolate to ensure it melts evenly.
- 7Once the biscuits have cooled, dip each one on one side into the melted chocolate. Then, let the chocolate on the biscuits set (this will take 20–25 minutes) and serve.
