Ingredients
- 220 g all-purpose flour
- 100 g butter
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 8 g vanilla sugar
- 50 g cooking chocolate
Instructions
- 1Prepare a large bowl, add 220 g of all-purpose flour, butter, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla sugar, and work everything into a smooth, compact dough (similar to shortbread dough). Wrap the finished dough in plastic wrap, place it in the refrigerator, and let it rest for at least 2 hours.
- 2After resting, take the dough out of the refrigerator, preheat the oven to 180 °C, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 3Flour your work surface with 20 g of flour and roll out the dough on the floured surface to a thickness of about 3–4 mm using a rolling pin.
- 4Cut the rolled-out dough into rectangles with a knife or pastry wheel, or cut out any shapes you like. Arrange the pieces of dough on the prepared baking sheet, place it in the oven, and bake for 9–11 minutes at 175–180 °C.
- 5Remove the baked cookies from the oven and let them cool for about 15 minutes.
- 6Meanwhile, melt the chocolate: Take a medium-sized bowl, break the chocolate into it (or chop it into smaller pieces), place it in the microwave, and heat for 1–1.5 minutes at 750 W. Pause every 20–30 seconds and stir the chocolate to melt it evenly.
- 7Once the cookies have cooled, dip each one on one side into the melted chocolate. Then let the chocolate set on the cookies (this will take 20–25 minutes) and then serve.
