- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 250 ml semi-skimmed milk
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon distilled vinegar (8%)
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 230 °C and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 2Place all the ingredients in a large bowl, mix them, and lightly work them together so that the ingredients combine but the dough remains lumpy. Be careful not to overwork the dough.
- 3Turn the dough out onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a round, flatter loaf with a diameter of about 15 cm and a height of about 6 cm. Make two deep cuts in the shape of a cross on top of the loaf with a knife.
- 4Place the baking sheet with the loaf in the oven and bake for 10 minutes at 225–230 °C.
- 5Reduce the oven temperature to 195–200 °C and bake the bread for another 18–20 minutes.
- 6After baking, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool for 30–60 minutes. After this time, it can be served.
