INGREDIENTS

  • approx. 600 g tofu
  • approx. 500 g broccoli
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 125 g baby spinach
  • Fresh ginger about 2 inches in size
  • 2 teaspoons of red chilli paste
  • 10 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Black and white sesame seeds for sprinkling
  • 250 g jasmine rice

INSTRUCTIONS

    Cut the tofu into cubes. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, 10 tablespoons of water, 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, finely chopped ginger, 2 crushed cloves of garlic, lime juice, and brown sugar. Pour this mixture over the tofu and let it marinate in the fridge for at least an hour.

    Divide the broccoli into small florets and boil for 3 minutes in salted water. Cook the rice according to the instructions.

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan/wok, toss in sliced spring onions and 3 cloves of sliced garlic for about 30 seconds. Then add the tofu and broccoli, stir-fry very quickly for 3-4 minutes.

    Finally, add the spinach and remove from the heat. The spinach will wilt and lose its volume. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with rice.
