INGREDIENTS
- 300 g puff pastry
- 50 g baby spinach
- 100 g Halloumi cheese
- 80 g prosciutto crudo
- 20 g pine nuts
- 1 egg
- Salt
- Freshly ground white pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Roll out the dough into a rectangle, or buy pre-rolled dough. Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough from both longer sides into strips approximately 2 cm wide, at a 45-degree angle. Do not cut through the entire dough; a solid strip about 10 cm wide should remain in the middle. Place baby spinach on this strip, then season with salt and pepper.
- 2Next, add Halloumi cheese, quickly pan-fried until crispy and diced, followed by pine nuts and prosciutto crudo.
- 3Form the strudel by twisting the strips from each side twice and joining them together. Once the strudel is prepared, brush it with beaten egg and season with pepper.
- 4Bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius until golden brown, for approximately 20 - 25 minutes.
