INGREDIENTS
- 500 g of green asparagus
- 100 g of sliced gouda cheese
- 300 g of puff pastry with butter
- 20 g of aged cheese
- Basil pesto
- 1 egg
- Salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Turn on the oven to top and bottom heat and set it to 220 °C.
- 2Roll out the dough to a thickness of 3 mm and use a pastry wheel to cut it into 3 cm wide strips along the shorter side.
- 3Wash the asparagus, dry it, and break off the woody bottom part. Wrap the prepared asparagus in a slice of cheese and then wrap it with a strip of dough. Wrap the dough around the asparagus like for cream rolls.
- 4Place on a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush with beaten egg. Finally, lightly sprinkle with salt and grated cheese.
- 5Bake for 15 minutes until golden.
- 6Serve with basil pesto.
