INGREDIENTS
- 170 g smooth spelt flour
- 20 g cane sugar
- 8 g baking powder
- 40 g cold butter
- 1 egg for the dough
- 40 g milk
- A pinch of salt
INGREDIENTS FOR SERVING
- 1 sour cream or mascarpone
- Strawberry or raspberry jam
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Add butter and mix until it forms a crumbly texture.
- 2In another bowl, whisk milk with an egg and add to the other ingredients. Mix together. A compact dough will form, which should be briefly kneaded on a board. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1.5 cm and use a glass to cut out circles with a diameter of 5 cm.
- 3Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 10 minutes at 200 °C.
- 4Serve with jam and sour cream or mascarpone.
