INGREDIENTS
- 100 g fine oat flakes
- 2 teaspoons chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200 ml skimmed milk
- 100 g banana
- 1 tablespoon liquid honey
- 250 ml water
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Pour the oats into a medium-sized pot, add chia seeds, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 200 ml of milk, and 250 ml of water. Cook the oat mixture for 9–10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once the porridge thickens, turn off the heat, cover the pot with a lid, and let the porridge sit for 2–3 minutes.
- 2Meanwhile, heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Peel the banana, cut it lengthwise, halve it, and place it in the pan (this will create 4 pieces). Drizzle the banana with honey and fry for 1–2 minutes over medium heat until golden brown.
- 3Divide the finished oatmeal into 2 bowls and serve each portion with caramelized banana.
Tip
Instead of using a pan, you can prepare the caramelized banana in the oven. Bake it at 215–220 °C for 8–9 minutes.
